Friday Favorites - on a Thursday :)

Just a few things that make my days a bit sweeter :)

Sweet Summer Strawberries!
I made a most delicious cobbler last night with vanilla yogurt on the side. Now the problem is that I'm out of berries. I need to go picking, but those cartons at the grocery are just as delicious!

Bare Minerals Moisturizer
Finally made it to the mall and Sephora to pick up my much needed moisturizer. This summer heat is slurping my skin. My vanity refuses to let the shortage of sleep create fine lines on my new Mommy brow!

Arms Reach Co-Sleeper
Having Amelia so close at night has been really comforting during these early weeks. Plus, it has made nursing much more convenient. She is 10 weeks old now and we are starting to discuss when she should start sleeping in her own crib. I think we have at least another month before I have to start considering "the move". I believe it will be harder for me than for her.

Monthly Meal Planning
After a year of being pregnant and hovering over a newborn, I'm just starting to plan our meals again. I just loath the age old question: What's for dinner? I find it really takes the stress our of our already busy evenings. Matt is not complaining, and has been very well fed for the past couple of weeks. My favorites?

  • Grilled Flank Steak on Arugula with Parmesan
  • Honey-Soy Chicken Kabobs with Squash
  • Spinach and Orzo Salad
This week? I'm planning on a delicious veggie lasagna for Sunday night that I'm pretty excited about. I also have some polenta in the cabinet that I am trying to find a good recipe for. Thank you for the yummy inspiration!

Breastfeeding Support Sites
  • KellyMom - Extremely informative with journal articles and research about the benefits and struggles of breastfeeding. A daily dose for me!
  • LLL - Another wonderful organization and helpful site. I need to make it to a local meeting, but I think I would feel more comfortable going with a friend.
Ok - I have sufficiently hid from chores this afternoon....hmmm....how else can I stall??
