Well, I am quite possibly the slackest blogger of all time. I'm thinking this should work itself into a New Year's goal - but I know myself too well. Good intentions count, right?? There's lots going on these days, but mainly I'm loving this pregnancy and amazed at how quickly it is flying by. I'm in week 25 now, and coasting into my 3rd trimester soon. I've been a happy camper thus far, and I LOVE feeling all the baby movement. She kicks, flips, punches, and swan dives. At times I feel like my stomach is the only participant on a roller coaster ride, and the rest of my body is trying to make sense of that feeling. Here is a shot from last night of the belly buddha :)
Christmas was different this year, but fulfilling in that we saw our entire family. We had Christmas dinner with the Ammons' clan, which was really special and fun. Then, we traveled to Winchester to see my sister's family, and my mother's extended family. It was good visiting with everyone and spending the holidays surrounded by lots of delicious food, lol!
For NYE we are headed to Williamsburg for the night to stay at the KingsMill resort. Ed and Andrea are going too, and we plan on having dinner together. Andrea is also pregnant, so we plan on getting SUPER hydrated together, and getting crazy with some sparkling grape juice.
While on break, I've been thinking about all the things we have left to accomplish before baby arrives. Our place is TINY, and we have little to no storage anyway. So, we are going to have to get creative in how we prepare. Thanks to wonderful friends and family we are already collecting things for her. But, they have no place to go! I'm sure the nesting bug will hit me soon enough and Matt will find me tearing through closets and shredding whatever I find. Our lease is up the end of June, and then I know we plan on getting a bigger place. Hopefully, that means owning our own home and not renting again.
I've also been sneaking some pregnancy pampering in as of late, which has been extremely relaxing. I got a pedicure Monday and a prenatal massage yesterday... sigh.... so very nice. Matt also got me a gift card for more yoga classes, so there is a prenatal class tonight at 6 I'd like to check out. Looks like they only offer it Wednesday nights, which should work with my schedule. I think it will help me to not feel so sluggish.
Also, shameless plug, I'm in LOVE with the Burt's Bees line, Mama Bee. Their leg lotion and belly balm are super moisturizing.
