Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right...

It has been a busy couple of weeks, and this week is no exception. I've been surrounded by my family lately, and that has made me all the more grateful for them. We celebrated my Dad's 50th birthday last week. He is so young, and I am looking forward to 50 more years with him. I still feel like the luckiest girl on the block to have him as my father.
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter

This weekend was Apple Blossom, so Matt and I went to Winchester. Matt and Dad ran the 10K and beat their times from last year. I really wish I had inherited the running gene, but alas, I just don't seem to have the lung capacity or endurance. I desperately try, but the best I can muster is wogging. Walk/Jogging. Original, eh? I can walk forever, but don't chase me, because I'd probably trip.
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces

Anyway, we had a great weekend visiting with everyone, despite the dreary drive home. I don't mind rain, but I find it very depressing (and nerve-wracking) to drive during torrential downpours. On the way home, Matt drove me by the building he will be working in starting in July. It's one of those medical office buildings with lots of very official looking suites. Of course it was closed on Sundays, but I did press my nose against the glass. I saw a very important looking door, lol. I know he will be happy working, and he is excited to have the autonomy of practicing under his own PT license. For now, he has graduation next weekend, and two months of sweet, sweet vacation. We are counting down to Europe with a newfound elation, and my future posts may be slightly obsessive about this topic.
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
I'm looking at a busy week, and I feel the need to try this fancy bullet option and break it down.
- Doc App. in the AM
- Forensics Club Tuesday/Wednesday
- Thursday Night Party with Matt's classmates
- Friday pre-party errands
- Friday Awards Ceremony with Matt's classmates at ODU
- Saturday Graduation and Party - woo!
- Sunday Mother's Day
