I've really been trying to choose what kind of voice I want this blog to develop. I'm eager to work more on it, and I think I have avoided it because the focus felt so garbled. (man, I love that word!) I want this blog to be educational, helpful, motivating and insightful. I don't want to spend too much time journaling about my day-to-day life, though I do want to provide a window into my life as a stay-at-home-mother. But, I think there is a more creative way to do that! Hopefully, I'm on the right track now.
When I look at the definition for "home economics", it really strikes me. These are areas I want to master or sharpen my skills in. The archaic definition of Economics is basically, "frugal living". I love the idea of modernizing the concept of a home economist, and what it means for women today in 2011. I hope I can be a part of the conversation.
