This & That

Well - we made it! In total - last weekend was a very successful one. Amelia was a bit of a grump when we arrived in Winchester, but was back to her pleasant self at the family picnic on Sunday. We dressed her in festive tones of Red, White & Blue and she charmed every family member there :) We were very proud of her - and proud of ourselves for making it through a 5 1/2 hour drive with a 3-month-old. Usually - the drive averages 4 hours - yeesh...

I have been struggling to accomplish things this week - and I feel we are on the brink of some major transitions. Here are a few I am tossing around in my clouded brain:

  • Amelia will need to transition to her crib soon - at least for naps. I'm exhausted sneaking around her while she snoozes in her swing. 3 am feedings will be harder without her in the room - but we will give it a try soon.
  • My best friend is getting married in 2 weeks and moving to Hawaii. I'm thrilled for her new adventure - but partly broken knowing she won't see my daughter grow. I hope life brings her back to the East Coast sooner than later.
  • Matt's on the edge of a promotion at work - HUGE blessing. Just working out the kinks.
  • We are debating on when/where/how to move our family of 3 to another area of VB.
That seems like enough for now - right?
