Bon Appetit!

After every great life event comes a moment of reflection and then the question - now what?  Of course, there are to-do's on my life plate, but I find myself rebelling and googling everything under the sun.  Last night, I saw the sneak preview for the film, Julie and Julia.  The movie is based off of a book and has awoken my interest in Julia Child.

Last night, I could not rest until I googled how tall Julia Child exactly was. She died in 2004 and stood 6 feet 2 inches tall. An amazonian goddess of the kitchen! As a woman who stands 6'1 barefoot, I have to admit, I am impressed.  Needless to say I want to purchase a pair of pumps, don a pencil skirt and pearls, and make a chocolate soufflé tonight. Which would entail purchasing Mastering the Art of French Cooking, which looks pretty daunting from the cover.

Other obsessions are dusting off my copy of, Writing Your First Play, by my JMU professor, Roger Hall.  The difficult part is that my play is already written and performed.  Roger tells me, "A copyright provides essential protection for your ideas, and, fortunately, it is easy to secure".  Hm.  We'll see about that Roger.
